Yogyakarta Kulon Progo International Airport (IATA: YIA; ICAO: WAHH), also known as Yogyakarta International Airport, is the main international airport serving Yogyakarta area in Java island, Indonesia.
It is located at Temon district of Kulon Progo Regency, 38 km from Yogyakarta city centre. YIA Airport is expected to accommodate 50 million passengers annually.
Yogyakarta Airport is going to replace Adisutjipto International Airport as all international flights have been conducted to YIA Airport.
It is a focus city for Garuda Indonesia and Lion Air.
Yogyakarta International Airport is supposed to be under construction in different phases, even though it has already began operations. It is stated to be under construction until 2021.
